| Responsibilities: |
The Electronics Technician III position constructs, maintains, and tests electrical systems and components. Tasks include: electronics repair, maintenance, installation, and checkout; soldering; cable dressing; cable assembly; conduit installation; and assembling/repairing connectors. Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of complicated tasks. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. DSS

| Qualifications: |
Education and / or Experience: High School diploma or GED is required. Formal electronics training from: Technical School, or Class A or Class B military school in electronics or communications, or four (4) year electronics apprentice program. Formal electronics training to include: installation tasks, soldering, cable dressing, cable tray, conduit, and assembling/repairing connectors. The Electronics Technician III Senior Operations Specialist position requires a minimum of eight (8) years of practical experience to include: electronics repair, maintnance, installation, and checkout. Requires three (3) years of practical experience to include: electronics repair and installation of Command, Control, Communications, Computers and Intelligence (C4I) programs. Requires two (2) years of experience to include: supervision and shop practice. Security: All individuals must hold (or be eligible to hold) a SECRET clearance. Some travel may be required. Candidates for this position will be subject to a government background investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. US Citizenship required. EEO/AA
