| Responsibilities: |
The Technical Analyst I applies electrical/electronic principles and techniques to research, develop, design, and test electrical components, equipment, and systems. Fabricates electronic boards, test, and evaluate systems. Performs electronic board layout using software tools and will use electronic design modeling tools for design of complex circuit and systems. Works with electronics suppliers and performs component evaluations and selection. Develops complex electronics circuits and tests designs on prototype boards. Independently evaluates, selects, and applies standard engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria, using independent judgment in making adaptations and modifications in testing electrical components, equipment, and systems. Work may be more focused on embedded software. Demonstrates knowledge of relevant software codes and ability to apply code development with circuit, subsystem and system design. DSS

| Qualifications: |
The successful candidate requires a bachelor's degree in Engineering Technology, Physical Sciences, Mathematics, or degree that includes: selecting and using electronic test equipment, troubleshooting, fault isolation, repair of electronic systems, training in discrete components (i.e. integrated circuits (IC's) subminiature components, capacitor, resistors, etc.), board level technology, and design technology and two (2) years of general experience related to the required responsibilities. One (1) year of specific experience in technical specifications development, process analysis and design, technical problem solving, and analytical/logical thinking is required. Security: Must be eligible for a Secret security clearance. Candidates for this position will be subject to a government background investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. US Citizenship required.
