Responsibilities:

The Computer Operator I, under general supervision, operates data entry devices in recording alphabetic and/or numeric data from source documents into a form suitable for computer processing. Performs routine data input assignments, keying various

source documents into a keyboard controlled data entry device. Work requires skill in operating an alpha/numeric keyboard and an understanding of transcribing procedures and relevant data entry equipment. Follows standard procedures, with allowance for some level of independent judgment. May perform sorting, batching, coding, filing or other clerical duties as assigned.



Qualifications:

 The successful candidate requires a high school diploma/GED and one (1) year of practical experience in data entry and formatting via common productivity tools such as the Microsoft Office Suite is required. Candidate must be capable of typing at a rate of 40 words per minute.

 

Security:  Must be eligible for a Secret security clearance. Candidates for this position will be subject to a government background investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. US Citizenship required. Some travel required.
