Responsibilities:

The Project Manager is responsible for the coordination and completion of projects. Develops an understanding of project scope and objectives including role and function of each team member in order to effectively coordinate a project. This person oversees all aspects of a project; setting deadlines, assembling project team, assigning responsibilities, identifying appropriate resources, and monitoring and summarizing progress of the project. Prepares reports for upper management regarding status of project. Additional duties and responsibilities to include: Develops project plan and schedule to ensure the timely completion of project. Provides technical and management advice and assistance to management regarding project. Facilitates and troubleshoots problems or issues associated with a project. Continually monitors progress of individual team members to ensure specific deadlines are met. Confers with senior management regarding changes of significant consequences to the scope or schedule of the project recommending changes or adjustments to ensure timely and effective completion. Leads and directs the work of others. Ensure project is brought to successful completion. Generally oversees a single project which, may be non-complex to complex in nature.

Qualifications:

Education and / or Experience: Bachelor's degree required in Engineering. The Project Manager position requires a minimum of ten (10) years of direct work experience with systems engineering of Command, Control, Communications, Computers and Intelligence (C4I) programs. Requires eight (8) years of direct work experience to include: Design, Development, Production, Installation, and Test and Evaluation. Requires four (4) years as a manager to include: Supervising Project Personnel, Scheduling Work, Writing Proposals and Preparing Bids, and Equipment and Material Logistics Control. Requires knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and DoD procurement policies and procedures. Position contingent upon contract award.

 

Security:  Must be eligible for a Secret security clearance. Candidates for this position will be subject to a government background investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. US Citizenship required. Some travel required.
