Responsibilities:
 

Responsibilities:

The International BD Manager’s primary responsibility is to develop and manage a network of international sales representatives to sell TSG’s survivability products.  As a component of this activity the BD manager is expected to to develop better intelligence, and a  deeper understanding of foreign military and security budgets as well as the major distribution vendors within those markets. 

 

This individual will work on behalf of the Survivability Group, with overall QinetiQ North America, LLC / Technology Solutions Group strategic interests in mind. The BD Manager will be charged with understanding, monitoring, and influencing customers where possible. They will provide insight to customer organizational structures, decision makers, budgets and development plans. 

 

Primary Accountabilities:

Growth of revenue from sources outside of the United States

Specific lead foreign distribution partner interface

Significant time/presence near customer or user locations

Opportunity development and tracking

Budget tracking and identification of interest areas

International customer advocacy within the survivability space

Work with Groups and Strategic Portfolio Managers

Provide business intelligence to company

Introductions of senior officials

Symposium/exhibition planning and participation

 

 



Qualifications:
 

Qualifications:

This position requires a minimum of 8+ years experience managing international sales partners, preferabvly within a high technology company focused on the defense and/or security market.,

A proven track record of revenue growth within target territories.

A minimum of a B.S. is required with a graduate degree in engineering or business preferred. The BD Manager will work on significant and unique issues where analysis of situations or data requires an evaluation of intangibles. The incumbent will be required to exercises independent judgment in methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining results. The ability to coordinate large business efforts within a diversified business structure with multi-disciplinary teams is essential. This individual must be capabile of working independently, as well as being part of a team. 

 

Knowledge of US foreign trade laws, including ITAR and FCPA is highly desirable.

 

Ability to travel internationally up to 50% at time will also be required.
