Responsibilities:

Spectro Inc. a division of QinetiQ North America is currently recruiting a Mechanical Project Engineer.

 

The Mechanical Project Engineer researches, develops, plans, and designs mechanical and electromechanical products and systems. This individual applies research to the planning, design, development, and testing of mechanical, electromechanical, and/or optical systems, instruments, and controls. Additionally this individual will act as a conduit to Manufacturing and Document Control for product release and maintenance.

 

Responsibilities Include:

  • Electro-optical-mechanical instrument product design;
  • Project level responsibility from design phase through to manufacturing;
  • Modeling device design using SolidWorks ;
  • Development of prototypes for design verification and validation;
  • Creation and validity of Bill of Materials and design documents;

 

 



Qualifications:

Education and Experience Require:

 

  • B.S. in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience;
  • 3+ years of industry experience and designing parts and assemblies for electromechanical and optical products;
  • Strong CAD design skills, preferably in Solidworks;
  • Highly organized, detail oriented, able to work effectively independently and in teams;
  • Proven ability to take simultaneous projects through completion in a timely manner;
  • The ability to collaborate effectively with other team members, including sales, manufacturing, R&D and other engineers;
